Purpose of Establishment To promote friendship and goodwill activities between Japan and Ethiopia through creating an economic and cultural tie with the ultimate purposes of contributing to world peace
 
Activities
To achieve the above purposes, the Association engages in the following activities.
 
1) Promotion of artistic, scientific, cultural and business exchange between Japan and Ethiopia
 
2) Holding in Japan of public lectures, discussion fora and exhibitions regarding Ethiopia
 
3) Cooperation and coordination with other art-, science-, culture- and business-related organization in Japan and Ethiopia
 
4) Provision of scholarships to students in Ethiopia
 
5) Donation of goods and furniture to schools and welfare organizations in Ethiopia
 
6) Public relations as well as publication, collection and dissemination of academic, cultural and economic information on Ethiopia
 
7) Any other related activities for achieving the purposes of the Association

Operation Run the activities of the Association by membership dues and donations
 
Main Activities
  • Scholarship Program for Addis Ababa University students. This scheme will expand to include other universities in Ethiopia in the future
  • Children's drawing exchange between Ethiopia and Japan
  • Exchange of information between the two countries through Embassies and Foreign Ministry
  • Holding of Luncheon, Dinner Meeting or Reception to delegates from Ethiopia
  • Provision of benefits to Ethiopian residents in Japan and keeping good relations with them
  • Joint activities with other NPO, NGO, OB&OG of Volunteers to Ethiopia and others related to Ethiopia
  • Issue of Newsletter quarterly for the members and related bodies
  • Holding of "Ethiopian Night of Cuisine and Dance" to introduce Ethiopian tradition and promote friendship among members and guests
  • Deliver news and information on Ethiopia to members and related bodies
